Introduction
In this era of scarcity of natural resources and pollution done to the environment, our school is committed and dedicated to providing green education to all students in HFCC. We hope that students are well informed and become responsible citizens making their effort to contribute to the sustainable development of Earth to protect the natural environment as well as mitigating climate change.
Aims
- To construct a holistic approach to deliver green education to our students
- To nurture the heart of conserving the environment of our students
- To equip our students to become well-informed citizens for the sustainable development of Earth
- To arouse our students’ attention and initiatives in environmental protection and mitigating climate change

- Became one of the membership schools of UNESCO Greening Education Partnership (GEP) (24 NOV 2025)
- Distributed Salvia splendens under the scheme of ‘One Person, One Flower Scheme’ for the whole form of S1 students for S1 STEAM Investigation as well as to all S4 to S5 students studying in Biology (11 NOV 2025)
- Established the ‘Edible Plants and Herbs Garden’ on campus under the scheme of ‘Planting Edible Plants in School Scheme 2025/26’ (LCSD) (11 NOV 2025)
- Established the ‘Incense Tree Conservation Corner’ and a team of appointed ‘Incense Tree Conservation Ambassadors’ under the collaboration of ‘STEAM Education Scheme: Incense Tree Conservation on Campus’ with CUHK Shiu-Ying Hu Herbarium (10 NOV 2025)
- Enrolled in ‘Green Prefect (GP) Programme 2025/26’ organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC). (26 SEP 2025)

School year 2024/25
- Organised ‘Recycled Plastic Bottle Planting Workshop’ as well as ‘Recycled Plastic Bottle Planting Pot Design Competition’ with the funding support from ‘Greening School Subsidy Scheme 2024/25’.
- Established a team of school-based ‘Green Prefects’ led by Head Green Prefects and participated in the ‘Green Prefect (GP) Programme 2024/25’ organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC). (13 SEP 2025)
- Participated in ‘One Person, One Flower Scheme 2024/25’ and ‘Planting Herbs in School Scheme 2024/25’ organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).
