With the blessings of our Heavenly Father, the Christmas Liturgy of this year was successfully held on 22 December 2022 in the School Hall.
A Christmas drama “The Star Chasers” was proudly presented by the Catholic Society, featuring the Star of Bethlehem that led the three Magi from the east to Bethlehem and found the place where Lord Jesus was born. The story led us to reflect on ourselves – could we also identify some people who act as “stars” to direct our ways and help us to overcome the obstacles we encounter?
The story began with a group of students who were discontented about their lives, having an unsatisfactory result in the examination, being bullied in school and feeling hopeless about the future. On the way of their journeys, they felt lonely, desperate and pessimistic. However, with the bright stars of friends, teachers and parents, they found light at the end of the tunnel and were led out of the darkness. However, the light did not stop here. These students also passed on this spirit of love and guidance by helping others and being others’ beacons.
“For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” (Matthew 2:2) From the past to the present times, the star is still here to guide us to good path to our Lord Jesus, through the help of our neighbours and loved ones. May our dear Lord grant us wisdom to also discover our uniqueness and opportunities to help everyone in need using our unique gifts from God.
