Christmas Liturgy and Christmas Celebration (2024-2025)

With the blessing of our Heavenly Father, our Christmas Liturgy and Christmas Celebration were held on 20 December 2024 successfully.  This year, Catholic Society members presented the Christmas drama, “The belated Magi”.  The fourth magi made use of all her treasures, a red diamond, a blue diamond and a pearl to help people in need during their journey to visit Jesus.  As a result, he had nothing to give to Jesus as a present when she arrived.  The story reminded us that the key to worshiping Jesus is not material gifts, but a sincere and caring heart.  When we care about the people around us, we must never forget that Jesus is always with us.

The SA programme that followed consisted of the Singing Contest Final, dancing performances as well as various celebratory events.  Enlightened by the release of the long-awaited sequel to the movie “Inside Out”, a drama was performed by the Students’ Association under the theme “Unwinding for wellness through music”.  The story began with the clash of opinions of different emotions of Riley, a student getting ready for the Christmas holiday while struggling for her upcoming midyear examination.  Thus, her self-consciousness lost its colours.  Yet, the amazing performance of the singing contest finalists and eye-catching dancing shows successfully healed the heart of Riley and created many joyful memories.  Eventually, the providential effect exuded the self-consciousness of Riley.  With a frolicsome atmosphere, the Christmas Celebration programme ended with the teachers’ singing performance and a lucky draw. All SA excos and sub-committee members were genuinely grateful for the programme’s tremendous success, with the hope of topping off the last school day of all Holy Familians in 2024.
