On 11-12 December 2023, all Form 5 students embarked on a captivating two-day study tour of Zhuhai. This incredible journey left an indelible mark on the participants, providing a unique opportunity to broaden our horizons, deepening our knowledge of Chinese economic development, and fostering lifelong memories. Let us delve into the highlights of this extraordinary experience.
Our first destination was the BY HEALTH Transparent Factory, where we were enthralled by the intricacies of food production. Witnessing the continuous production line for solid preparations and protein powder, we gained firsthand insight into the meticulous food processing progress of this esteemed company. With a knowledgeable guide leading the way, we delved into each step of the production line, expanding our understanding of nutrition and its role in promoting human health.
Next, we visited the China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co., Ltd., an exhilarating experience that took us on an exciting virtual flight through advanced flight simulation technology. Maneuvering the controls with a handheld remote and computer programme was a novelty for many of us, creating an immersive and unforgettable encounter. Besides, the aircraft exhibition area showcased a plethora of airplanes, each serving a different purpose, ranging from disaster relief to military operations.
In the evening, we strolled through the enchanting Zhuhai Grand Theatre, a masterpiece of architectural elegance. While we indulged in delicious snacks from local vendors, we marveled at the distinctive design of the theater, characterized by its composition of a large and small “shell”. The ambiance was truly captivating and had further enhanced our appreciation of Zhuhai’s cultural and artistic scene.
On the second day, we set off to our final destination, the awe-inspiring Zhuhai Aerospace Land. The exhibition boasted a mesmerizing collection of aircraft, ranging from fighter planes to 1:1 China Space Station. The rapid advancements of China’s high-technology industry, particularly in aviation, left us astounded. Nevertheless, the most enthralling aspect of our visit was the AIGC Experience Area, where cutting-edge technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) were utilized to create interactive games. During these simulations, visitors could choose to play the roles of an astronaut, a scientist or a captain. Through these exciting and immersive experiences, we have gained a deeper understanding of the life and work of astronauts.
In conclusion, the mainland study tour to Zhuhai was an unforgettable experience. It provided us with invaluable opportunities to gain exposure to the remarkable advancement of our motherland. The memories and lessons garnered from this transformative journey have undoubtedly broadened our perspectives and will continue to have a lasting impact on our personal and academic development.
