S1 Orientation Day

To help new S1 students adapt to school life and feel welcome in the campus community, S1 Orientation Day was held on 5 September 2026.  Through campus tours, group games, and self-introductions, students explored the 24 character strengths, learned about their new environment and formed meaningful connections with their peers.

Guided by student leaders, the S1 students eagerly joined various ice-breaking activities.  The highlight of the day was the “Hide from the Camera Challenge.”  As the host operated the camera, classes worked together to use nearby objects to stay out of frame.  After energetic discussions, each class rallied around a single strategy to complete the challenge, demonstrating impressive teamwork and sportsmanship.  Following the games, Guidance Leaders and Discipline Prefects took the S1 students on a guided tour, offering practical tips and insights along the way.  The campus was alive with laughter and conversation. The day concluded with a reflection session where students looked back on what they had learned and celebrated the distinct character strengths seen in their peers.

The event was a resounding success. It was a rewarding experience for both the incoming S1 students and the senior student leaders involved, reinforcing our strong sense of unity and upholding our school’s core values of care and community.
