School Opening Ceremony 2025-2026

On 1 September 2025, the school campus once again blossomed with joy and vitality as Holy Familians reunited after a rejuvenating summer break.  Clad in our signature pink uniforms, we gathered in strength and harmony to mark the beginning of a new academic year.  The School Opening Ceremony was surely a heartfelt celebration of unity and renewal. New S1 students and several newly appointed teachers were welcomed with open arms and radiant smiles, as they officially joined our cherished family.

The ceremony commenced with a warm and impassioned address by our beloved Principal, Ms Cheng.  This year’s theme, Cultivating Self-love   Nourishing Wellness, was unveiled with grace and depth.  Ms Cheng reminded us that self-love is not indulgence, but a sacred gift — an inner sanctuary where wellness begins.  Under God’s loving gaze, we were called to embrace our worth, care for our bodies and minds, and walk the path of holistic growth with courage and joy.

Members of the Head Girl Core Group — Cwing Chin, Jasmine Ding, and Amorette Chung —shared their personal journeys of cultivating self-love through mindful habits and active living.  Their reflections were both heartfelt and empowering, illuminating how physical wellness can be a profound act of self-respect and spiritual gratitude. Their words resonated deeply, inspiring schoolmates to nurture their inner vitality and embrace wellness as a way of life.

The ceremony also featured a captivating sharing by Hazel Yau, Claire Ng, and Bridget Chiu, who recounted their enriching experiences during the summer educational trip to Croatia and Slovenia.  From exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites like Lake Bled and Plitvice Lakes National Park to engaging in vibrant cultural exchanges, their stories painted a vivid tapestry of learning beyond borders.  Their captivating sharing served as a prelude to more fruitful trips and adventures in the year ahead.

As the school song echoed through the hall in unison, a renewed sense of hope and purpose filled the air.  With hearts full of gratitude and minds set on flourishing, Holy Familians step into the new academic year ready to embrace challenges, uplift one another, and grow in love and wellness.  May the coming school year be showered with God’s blessings and filled with the unending gifts of love and wellness.

Let us flourish together — body, mind, and spirit — as daughters of the Canossian family.
