In late May 2023, three S5 STEM Prefects, Heidi Au of S5A, Cadence Cheung of S5A and Natalie Lam of S5B, participated in the “VR for Good Challenge” competition organized by the HKEdCity, the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and the International Coding Education (ICE). With meticulous effort, they won the Championship and received the Best Presentation Award among 1500 participants coming from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The theme of the competition was Mental Health. The Prefects created a VR game with Cospaces, which successfully raised awareness of mental health issues faced by adolescents and suggested ways to help them tackle stress and emotional problems. Their devotion and involvement in STEM were highly commendable.
