Caritas Bazaar 2025

Principal’s Reflection on 10.11.2025

Yesterday, we successfully ran our stall at the Caritas Bazaar in Fa Hui Park.  I was pleased to join and support our dedicated teachers and students in this effort to raise funds for Caritas.

Despite the hot weather, we, along with several parents, worked diligently to sell goods and launch our game in order to maximize the funds raised.  Every sale brought us joy, encouragement, and a strong sense of unity. This community service was a grateful and rewarding experience for all involved.   Special thanks go to the teachers and students of the Guidance Team, parents and janitors for their great support.  We all look forward to taking part in this meaningful charity event again.

Participating in community service can inspire a sense of gratitude, cultivate diverse life experiences and foster genuine empathy through contribution, leading to a harvest of purpose, accomplishment and self-worth.

Before the Caritas Bazaar, I attended a mass where we celebrated the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica.  The Basilica is the Cathedral of Rome and is called the “mother of all churches of the world”.  This celebration honours not the bricks and marble of the building, but the unity of the whole Church in communion — a commitment to building bridges of dialogue, understanding and peace.

May God help us be living temples of His love, so that our lives radiate His presence, much like the powerful spirit of service we experienced at the Caritas Bazaar charity event yesterday.

Student’s Reflection on 12.11.2025

Under God’s blessings, Holy Familians took part in the annual Caritas Charity Bazaar.  With the enthusiastic participation of our students and teachers, the 2025 Caritas Charity Bazaar was successfully held on 9 November 2025 at Fa Hui Park.

To support both fundraising and evangelisation, the school Guidance Team held two booths, attracting visitors with student-designed games and raising funds through the sale of goods.  It is delightful to know that each product sold represented a helping hand extended to the disadvantaged.

Apart from interacting with visitors, another memorable moment was observing a strong sense of unity as students from different Catholic schools came together to serve one purpose: raising funds.  Although the students may have been physically tired, they were still mentally full of energy.  Watching student helpers put smiles on people’s faces as they inserted money into the donation box was a heartwarming moment.  Bags featuring students’ handmade designs were also sold, and compassion was evident through the effort of each participant.

Participating in the Caritas Bazaar is a fun and meaningful way for students to contribute to society.  This experience served as a beautiful reminder of how small acts of kindness can bring people together and make a significant difference.
