An Educational Trip to Croatia and Slovenia

On 18-26 July 2025, our schoolmates and I had the incredible opportunity to go on an educational trip to Croatia and Slovenia.  This journey took us through some of the most breathtaking natural landscapes and historical sites in Europe, including Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, etc.  Each destination perfectly captured the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of these countries.  We were able to admire these fascinating sites only because of the conservation efforts these countries put into preserving such treasures for our future generations.  We all felt a deep appreciation when we saw how delicately they preserved each brick in the historic structures, like the Predjama Castle.

Thinking back, we were very impressed by the commitment to conservation that we saw during our trip.  For example, in Plitvice Lakes National Park, the turquoise lakes and the green plants showed how important it is to protect natural habitats and rich biodiversity.  We learned that the park had rules for tourists, like not feeding the animals, in order to protect their well-being. Similarly, at Brijuni National Park, they carefully preserved the islands and wildlife.  These places really broadened our understanding of conservation and how crucial it is to preserve every bit of history.

Moreover, visiting sites like Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle made us realise that conservation also involves preserving cultural heritage. The efforts put into maintaining these historical landmarks help ensure that future generations can appreciate the unique culture of this wonderful region.

Overall, our trip to Croatia and Slovenia really deepened our appreciation for nature and culture, and inspired me to pay more attention to conservation in our own country.  This trip not only enriched us, but it also reminded us to be eco-friendly and to protect the environment.  I realised that every little action can harm these beautiful landscapes if we are not more cautious.  This trip has motivated me to take better care of our planet and appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature every day.
