On 10 October 2026, members of our Holy Family Service Team stepped forward with loving hearts to care for the community, bringing warmth, joy and companionship to local elderly residents. Accompanied by their dedicated teachers, our girls visited the homes of elderly residents who live alone in an estate. It was evident that they served with polite and respectful attitudes, listening intently and interacting tenderly with each senior citizen they met. The home visits quickly became a beautiful avenue of mutual enrichment. The elderly residents, deeply touched by our girls’ presence, warmly opened up and shared their rich life stories. These personal testimonies of resilience and hope inspired our girls to embrace perseverance, cherish the precious gift of life, and reflect on how to live fruitfully despite facing daily challenges. Through these heartfelt conversations, a strong bond of mutual respect and understanding was beautifully forged across generations.
This voluntary service also served as a spiritual milestone. In reflection of the Gospel according to Matthew (22:1–14) read at Sunday Mass on 11 October 2026, we are reminded that while many are called, not all choose to respond. By stepping out to serve those in need, our girls graciously accepted God’s invitation to the great banquet of love. This meaningful visit nourished their spirits and put their faith into active practice. Guided by our school's mission, the Holy Family Service Team remains committed to participating in community service. We will continue to offer care to the elderly, show active concern for our society, and shine as a living witness of God's boundless love and kindness.
