Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, the Moral and National Education Team has paved a meaningful path for our whole-person development. Guided by the pillars of national education, civic education, positive education, and service learning, Holy Familians embarked on a journey to strengthen national identity, sharpen civic consciousness, and deepen a shared commitment to others.
National Education: Embracing Our Heritage
Our journey of cultural discovery flourished on Chinese Culture Day, which transformed our campus into a vibrant cultural hub filled with themed booths and traditional performances. This sensory celebration of our heritage was beautifully complemented by hands-on Traditional Handicraft Workshops and festive celebrations for Mid-Autumn and Chinese New Year, nurturing a deep sense of national pride and appreciation. Venturing beyond borders, our Mainland Educational Tours offered invaluable first-hand exposure to our nation’s remarkable developments, seamlessly bridging classroom knowledge with real-world contexts.
Civic Education: Sowing Seeds of Integrity
Civic responsibility is not just a concept, but a lived experience. To mark Constitution Day, Holy Familians challenged themselves in the territory-wide Online Basic Law Competition, reinforcing a deep understanding of the rule of law that anchors Hong Kong. Within our school community, our student-led Civic Leaders’ Assembly focused on the vital virtue of perseverance. By sharing personal insights and modelling core values, Civic Leaders inspired their peers to embrace resilience in their daily academic and personal pursuits.
Positive Education: Flourishing in Mind and Spirit
To nurture wellness and mental fortitude, our positive education initiatives focused on self-discovery and relationship-building. S1 and S4 students braved adventure-based team challenges during their Personal Growth and Leadership Training Camps, emerging with greater self-confidence and a stronger collaborative spirit. Back on campus, interactive Values Education Booth Games turned abstract moral concepts into concrete, thoughtful choices. We were also equipped with practical tools for emotional management through inspiring Positive Education Talks by professional social workers, while Mediation Workshops empowered us to resolve conflicts constructively through the art of communication.
Service Learning: Love in Action
Living out our cherished school values, our service-learning initiatives allowed us to be a source of hope and warmth for the wider community. Our S4 students stepped out of their comfort zones to organise heartfelt visits to local kindergartens and elderly centres, deepening their empathy and social responsibility. This regular devotion to the marginalised was echoed by the Holy Family Service Team, whose steady outreach cultivated a profound culture of care within our school. Meanwhile, our creative S1 and S2 students poured their hearts into crafting beautiful items for the Caritas Bazaar, learning that even the smallest handmade gift can be a powerful channel of generosity and social contribution.
Reflecting on the past year, we see how these diverse experiences have sown seeds of compassion, integrity, and resilience within our hearts. As Civic Leaders and Holy Familians, we move forward inspired, ready to serve, and committed to lighting up our community with love.
