Opening Mass and Installation Ceremony

Under God's blessing, our Opening Mass and the Installation Ceremony of student leaders were successfully held on September 11, 2026.  On this special day, we were honoured to have Father Fabio Favata, the parish priest of St. Patrick's Parish, as our celebrant.

Father Fabio shared a heartwarming and inspiring story.  When he was in Beijing, he met a visually impaired woman who was talented and kind-hearted.  She initially dreamed of marrying a wealthy and handsome man, but God led her to marry a man who possessed neither wealth nor good looks, but a genuinely good heart.  Together, they live happily.  This proved that joy comes from inner beauty rather than superficial ideals.  “Embracing diversity” means recognising the differences of others, including their gifts and shortcomings.  Through this story, Father Fabio reminded us that nobody is perfect, and no one is the best or the worst.  Instead, we should accept our flaws and strive to become the best of ourselves.  Inspired by the homily, students should learn that they study not only for their own growth, but also for the people around them.  By accepting our weaknesses and appreciating each other's strengths, we can study together, support each other and nurture respect towards one another.

After the Opening Mass, the Installation Ceremony was held.  Led by the Head Girl Core Group, our student leaders promised to serve our school with honesty, passion and diligence.  May God continue to bless our teachers and students with a peaceful and fruitful academic year, uniting us in love.
