“Pilgrims of Hope” Journey to Cheung Chau

In the Jubilee Year, we, S2 to S5 Catholic students accompanied by Catholic staff embarked on a blessed and joyful “Pilgrims of Hope” journey to Cheung Chau on 22 November 2025.  We were welcomed by beautiful weather, and the journey was full of love, faith, and hope.

In the morning, we were grateful for the opportunity to have our faith brought to life through the history of the Our Lady of Fatima Church, as shared by a devoted parishioner, Mr Lai.  Special thanks go to Fr Fabio for his enlightening formation, which was followed by Mass.  He guided us to reflect on our yearly theme, “Cultivating Self-love  Nourishing Wellness” and reminded us to place Jesus at the centre of our hearts, which enables us to love ourselves and love others more easily.  The afternoon was a wonderful blend of culture and community as we made peace buns stamped with our school logo and learned about the island’s heritage at the historic Cheung Chau Cinema.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our school’s Religious Formation Team, which started planning the pilgrimage half a year ago.  Sincere thanks also go to all our Catholic teachers, staff, and Catholic Leaders for their support.  It was inspiring to see all of us attentive and engaged throughout this special outing. We returned with hearts full of God’s blessings, love and hope.
