On 14 May 2024, the campus of Holy Family Canossian College was filled with the sound of laughter and cheers as a series of sports activities were held to uphold the Canossian Missions’ education philosophy of ‘Charity in Humility’ by promoting whole-person development.
We kicked off the day with the S1-S2 Inter-class Rope Skipping Competition, followed with a rope skipping performance by the HFCC Rope Skipping Team. The energy and excitement of the competition and performance were electrifying, as the crowd cheered on the athletes who pushed the boundaries of what was possible with a simple rope.
As competitive rope skipping has gained growing international recognition, our talented rope skipping team has honed their techniques to a fine art and won the second place in The Kai Tai Sports Initiative - The 6th Hong Kong Inter-school Jump Rope Championship, Secondary Girls’ Division, on 7 July 2024.
The highlight of the Student-teacher Fun Day was the Teacher-student Huge Ball Friendly Match. Despite the intense rivalry, the event remained a friendly and lighthearted affair, with both sides displaying good sportsmanship and a genuine appreciation for each other's skills. At the end of the day, the students emerged victorious, but the real winner was the sense of community and a good foundation for students’ lifelong and life-wide learning.
With a grateful heart, students learned not to take everything for granted. They extended their gratitude to teachers who organised the Student-teacher Fun Day. Through the various activities, students were reminded to strike a balance between study and leisure, relieve their pressure and enhance their wellness.
