Values Education Day

On 14 May 2026, our school held the Values Education Day, shedding light on the two core values of perseverance and respect for others.  Through an insightful talk by speaker Mr Remus Kwok and a heartwarming film screening, students explored how to face challenges with a resilient spirit and treat those around them with empathy.

The talk centered on coping with failure and cultivating a growth mindset.  Students were encouraged to reframe their perspectives when facing academic challenges.  While a low score might initially feel like a lack of capability, Mr. Kwok emphasised that every “red cross” on an exam paper is not a mark of defeat, but a valuable opportunity to learn and improve.  When we face difficulties, we should never be afraid to try again.  This belief was beautifully illustrated by a single-line drawing puzzle game.  Life is much like solving a puzzle, where a wrong move simply means pausing, rethinking and trying a new path.  The talk inspired everyone to remain calm when facing academic challenges and to explore alternative study methods.

Values Education Day reminded us all that success is built on resilience.  By viewing our academic challenges as opportunities to learn, we can step forward into the rest of the school year ready to try, learn and grow.
