On 30 April 2026, our school community paused our busy routines to enjoy the Wellness Carnival, which aligned with our yearly theme, “Cultivating Self-love Nourishing Wellness”. Through a blend of physical activity, social connection, and quiet reflection, all students and staff members took a well-deserved break to recharge.
A major highlight of the carnival was the Dog Interaction sessions organised by The CEO Foundation. The presence of these gentle therapy dogs brought an immediate sense of calm to the room. Students had the chance to pet and bond with the dogs, discovering how animal companionship can lower stress and provide a unique form of emotional nourishment. It was a powerful reminder that sometimes the best therapy has four paws and a wagging tail. The school playgrounds were also filled with energy and excitement! The highly anticipated Teacher-Student Sports Games were held on the court, filled with laughter and healthy competition. These matches fostered closer bonds between teachers and students, enhancing a strong sense of belonging within our school community. The Wellness Carnival truly offered something for everyone. For those looking to slow down, the Teahouse Session offered a peaceful escape, allowing them to step away from their hectic lives and enjoy the simple ritual of brewing and sharing tea. This mindful activity encouraged everyone to be present in the moment, nourishing the soul through quiet conversation and the soothing warmth of a cup of tea. Meanwhile, our school hall was transformed into a vibrant photo booth area. Students gathered with friends to take heartfelt photos, celebrating the precious friendships they shared with their schoolmates. These snapshots serve as lasting memories of a day spent prioritising mental health and happiness, reminding us to carry the spirit of wellness into our daily lives.
The Wellness Carnival was a beautiful celebration of harmony and health. Whether through a spirited game on the playground, a quiet moment at the teahouse, or a cuddle with a therapy dog, the day reminded us that self-love is not a luxury, as it is a necessity. Small acts, like taking pictures with a friend or drinking tea, can soothe our weary minds and elevate our well-being. By nourishing our own wellness, we become better equipped to support one another in a flourishing school community.
